Cosmetic Tattooing, helping you to boost confidence & eliminate the need for daily make up.

Cosmetic Tattooing, also referred to as Permanent Make Up is a semi-permanent to permanent cosmetic procedure. It implements pigment into the papillary layer of the dermis (the top layers of your skin). It does not go as deep into the skin as a regular body tattoo.

It is referred to as semi permanent to permanent as over time, your treatment of choice can eventually fade to virtually nothing. This is why touch up sessions are required and recommended, as the more sessions you have, the longer it will last.

Cosmetic Tattooing has become increasingly popular, as it is an excellent way to help enhance your features and natural beauty. Each procedure is totally customisable to you as an individual, ensuring your features are enhanced in a way that flatters YOU.

There are a range of beautiful treatments within the PMU industry, ultimately helping you to feel your best 24/7. Whether it is to help you speed up your morning routine so that you can wake up and head out the door in record time, or help clients with medical conditions such as alopecia. Regardless of your reasoning, Cosmetic Tattooing can help you to feel like the best version of you. And even better, it's waterproof!

No matter which Cosmetic. Tattoo treatment you receive, it is always recommended to keep within the touch up or 'colour boost' timeframes. This is to ensure your Cosmetic Tattoo looks it's best, and you achieve the best results. If you leave it too long between appointments, you run the risk of starting from scratch if the tattoo has faded too much.

Your Tattoo Appointment

So, you've secured your tattoo appointment and want to know what to expect?

In the week leading up to your tattoo appointment, you will be following the recommended steps to ensure your treatment is as comfortable as possible

During your first appointment we will go through an in depth consultation discussing the process of your treatment as well as what options are are best suited to you, colour choice and what to expect during the healing process of your tattoo and how to look after it.

For those having Brow Tattooing, you will have already been advised to purchase the Emla pre-numbing cream from your local pharmacy and have this on for an hour before your appointment. For those completing Lips & Eyeliner, we will pre-numb the tattoo area upon your arrival for 30 minutes before we get started.

After discussion and agreement on the style, we will do an in depth mapping, making any adjustments necessary and making sure you are happy before we get under way with the tattoo.

After your treatment, we will show you how to take care of your beautiful new tattoo and talk you through the aftercare steps.

After 6 weeks have passed your tattoo will be fully healed and ready for the touch up session. During this appointment we will go over the tattoo once more to lock in the colour and make any minor adjustments necessary, to the shape or colour that you may request after living with your tattoo over the past 6 weeks.

How many treatments are needed?

All appointments include two treatments. Your second appointment is a perfecting visit where we make necessary adjustments. This appointment must be done no less than 4 weeks and no more than 8 weeks apart. If you have little to no natural brow hair, you may require a third appointment at an additional cost. This will be discussed with you at your first appointment consultation.

Can I wear makeup to my appointment?

Yes you can wear makeup on the day to your appointment if you wish. Your Artist will remove what she needs to before she starts.

Does it hurt?

We use anaesthetics to numb the treatment area before and during the procedure which makes each treatment pretty comfortable for you. Each client experiences pain differently. We manage each client accordingly to keep you as pain free as possible.

How is my colour chosen?

We have a huge range of colours to suited each individuals skin tone plus hair colour. The colour is chosen together with yourself and the artist. Your artist will recommend and show you colours close to your natural brow hair colour for the perfect blend. If you tint your brows because they are too blonde, grey, white etc, then you will need to continue to tint them after they are tattooed as the cosmetic tattoo only colours the skin behind the hairs, not the hairs themselves. We recommend to wait at least 3 weeks after the procedure before tinting them again.

How long do they last for?

The first couple of days they will appear darker then your chosen colour. This is because the pigment hasn’t healed under the skin yet. The best time to have a good look at the colour is two weeks after your first appointment. The colour will then be much softer and settled in the skin. Your artist will go through the full healing process with you in your consultation.

Do I need to shape them before my appointment?

No we recommend you to leave them if you can as you may remove more then we need. Your artist will do a full custom brow shape before the treatment.

Which option should I go for?

We will go over each option with you in the consultation. If you have a look through our list of styles in our gallery you will be able to narrow it down by personal preference and life style in the info. The Microblading option is not recommended for extremely oily skins or clients that are working out a lot as it will fade quicker. Powdered brows are more suited for oily skins and hide larger areas for brow reconstruction on clients with large areas of hair loss.

How long do they take to settle?

We recommend 12 monthly colours boosts with our Feather Touch option. Powdered brows last longer in the skin so you will get more like 18 months before needing your colour boost. Lips and eyeliner last about 5-7 years depending on colour choice.

Can I get procedures done while pregnant or nursing?

Unfortunately we can not do the procedure if you are pregnant . If you are nursing you will need to express for 24 hours after the treatment before feeding again.
