Eyelash Extension Aftercare

1. Please no exercise, hot yoga, sauna, or anything similar within first 24 hours after your appointment.

2. Remember to clean your lashes with a foaming cleanser daily, that is oil free. If you would like to purchase the cleanser I use on clients then let me know.

3. Please do not pick or pull at your lashes as the are delicate.

4. Remember to brush through your lash extensions morning, night, and after you shower (ensuring you dry your lashes prior to brushing). I provide a spoolie after each appointment for you to use.

5. Do not put mascara on your eyelash extensions, this will prevent you from being able to get infills.

6. Avoid oil based products. Oily products will cause the lash adhesive to break down and affect your lash retention.

Eyelash Extension Infills

The recommended infill period is 2-3 weeks. If you wish to upkeep you lash extensions and have regular infill appointments then anything over the 3-4 week mark may require a full set.

The length of time since your last appointment and condition of your lashes determine the amount of infill lashes needed.

Pricing for infills will be determined when you come in for your appointment, as everyone's lash cycle is different. How you care for your extensions will also affect this.

In order to extend the longevity of your extensions, make sure you are following the after care recommendations.

Brow Tattoo Aftercare

The aftercare of your cosmetic tattoo affects 50% of the result of your new tattoo. If for any reason you are unable to follow the preparation steps or the following after steps, by Nadia. cannot guarantee the best results for your Brows. Please read through the following information, to ensure you get the best possible results for your brows and follow all aftercare steps correctly.

For your aftercare, you will need to purchase: Alcohol and fragrance-free baby wipes, Cotton tips & Vaseline

What to expect after your Cosmetic Tattoo appointment

Your brows will be healing for at least six weeks. The first two week are the most critical healing period. Directly after your appointment your brows will be bold and dark, it is normal to experience swelling, redness and a bit of weeping. The weeping is your body‘s natural reaction. The swelling and redness will go away after 24-48 hours.

Your tattoo will eventually flake, and scab and the colour will start to look a lot lighter. Do Not Panic as this is just a result of the damage and dead skin cells being pushed out. The colour will come back after 10-14 days.

After Care Steps (Please note, steps 1-3 are for Day 1)

  1. Wipe your brows firmly every 15 minutes for the first hour after your appointment with a baby wipe from your aftercare pack.

  2. Once the hour has passed, for the rest of the day, you will need to wipe your brows with a baby wipe and apply Vaseline hourly. When applying Vaseline, coat the brow with a thin layer with one end of your cotton tip, then with the other end run back through to remove the excess Vaseline.

  3. Before going to bed, apply a thin layer of Vaseline to ensure they stay moist and cover with glad wrap to protect your brows while you sleep (this is only necessary for the first night).

  4. The following few days you will need to wipe your brows and apply Vaseline 4 times per day. E.g. morning, lunch, dinner & before bed.

  5. When you feel your eyebrows starting to harden, this means the scab has started forming (approx day 2-4). Stop using your wipes at this stage as it can pull out the scab which pulls out the pigment. Only apply Vaseline four times daily for the remaining two weeks.

  6. After the two-weeks period you only need to apply Vaseline every night before bed until your follow up appointment.

Please remember it takes a full six weeks for your brows to heal. Your brows may feel healed but do continue to follow all our aftercare steps.

During the first weeks - PLEASE DO NOT

  • Get your brows wet. (With water 1 week, with chlorine and salt water 2 weeks). No swimming, facial cleansers, or makeup removers on the area.

  • Do any activities that cause excessive sweating. This will push out the pigment in your tattoo.

  • Expose your brows to the sun. Wear sunglasses and hats when outdoors. Once your brows are heeled ALWAYS apply sunscreen when exposed to the sun.

  • Use any brow products. Makeup can be worn but please avoid your new tattoo. Eyebrow tinting is advised no earlier than four weeks after your appointment.

Depending on your skin type, lifestyle and how well you take care of your tattoo, the pigment can last anywhere from six to twenty-four months. After six months as the tattoo fades the colour can look different due to the tone and colour of your skin, Therefore, we recommend booking an annual colour boost to refresh the colour each year. We also recommend using Bio Oil once a week to ensure your skin does not scar and applying sunscreen on the area everyday. (Sun and salt water are your biggest concerns; wear sunscreen and apply a little Vaseline before swimming.)

Lip Tattoo Aftercare

The aftercare of your cosmetic tattoo affects 50% of the result of your new tattoo. If for any reason you are unable to follow the preparation steps or the following after steps, by Nadia. cannot guarantee the best results for your Lips. Please read through the following information, to ensure you get the best possible results for your brows and follow all aftercare steps correctly.

For your aftercare, you will need to purchase: Alcohol and fragrance-free baby wipes, Cotton tips & After Art

What to expect after your Cosmetic Tattoo appointment

Your lip tattoo will be healing for at least six weeks. The first two week are the most critical healing period. Directly after your appointment your lips will be bold, it is normal to experience swelling, redness and weep a clear fluid. This is to be expected, please be aware leaving this to dry will cause premature swelling and scabbing.

The initial swelling can be obvious but usually subsides within 24-48 hours, however this can last a little longer in some cases where the clients lips are fuller. Cold compresses or icepacks can help with swelling if necessary (never use anything icy).

After Care Steps

  • Immediately after your tattoo treatment, wipe your lips (every 10 minutes) for an hour.

  • Once the hour has passed, continue to wipe your lips, and apply a thin layer of After Art every hour for the remainder of the day. You can sleep slightly elevated to alleviate discomfort and swelling

  • From day 2 onwards, wipe the lips with a baby wipe and apply After Art 4x a day (morning, lunch, dinner & before bed) to keep them hydrated.

  • Around 3-7 days the dry skin on your lips should start to flake off. during this time, it is vital that you do not pick the flakes or dry skin off your lips but let them fall off naturally.

If by chance you happen to break out in an excessive amount of cold sores, please stop all aftercare and focus on treating the cold sore virus by visiting your local pharmacy. If any unusual redness, excessive itchiness, tenderness or swelling appear on the tattooed area please contact us or contact your GP immediately.

Please also ensure you follow the following

  • Avoid soap and/or cleansers around the treatment area.

  • Make up (excluding lip products) can be worn after your treatment. Please avoid using any lip products for at least two weeks after having both your initial appointment and follow up completed.

  • When going into the sun, apply sunscreen or products containing SPF on your lips. Exposure to the sun can cause fading and colour may change over time. Do not expose your lips to the sun for the first two weeks.

  • Do not go swimming in sea water or chlorine treated water for the first 2 weeks. Cover your lips with vaseline when swimming in salt or chlorine water to avoid bleaching effect.

  • Chemicals of any kind can interfere with the healing and colour of your new tattoo. Glycolic acid and face peels must be kept away from your tattoo as it has been reported to lighten the colour with constant, continued use.
